Behringer V-tone
Question: Has anyone tried these things? http://www.music123.com/Behringer-V-...-i156744.music http://www.music123.com/Behringer-V-...-i156743.music http://www.music123.com/Behringer-V-...-i156740.music I need a decent preamp/DI box for my accoustic. I was looking at the LR Baggs and this one actually models the Tech21 Sansamp Accoustic DI, which is also quite nice. They are each $30! It seems like a steal and the reviews are good on all of them but I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience? I'm thinking about getting the accoustic soon, because it's the one with the most urgent need. If I liked I was going to try the bass to see what it would do to my tone. And then perhaps the guitar..just out of curiousity? Anyone seen/played these before? -shane Answer: I've got a LR Baggs which is really nice, is built like a tank and runs from phantom which means no power supplies/batteries. I've never played a Behringer, but I think they're plastic and I'd be worried about snapping one. Have a go on one, but if you do, make sure you play through a PA or Keyboard amp and not an acoustic amp. They do a lot to the tone of an acoustic pickup that doesn't happen with a PA. Answer: we've got the bass one at the church, and I'm playing bass this weekend - i'll let ya know Answer: I just got the Acoustic V-Tone for my birthday this month. It is plastic, but it is pretty heavy and reasonably sturdy too. They are not really expensive. More a "tap-box" rather than a "stomp-box". I need to spend some time trying to tweak it a bit. The sample settings they have in the instructions seem pretty bad, so I will need to play with it on my own when I have time to find the sweet spot. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
