You should mic your amp rather than having a second output. The speaker shapes the tone alot so you'd be losing your tone by outputting it like that. BTW, I've always been a fan of Dunlop pedals myself.
Answer:
afaik, a volume pedal does the same thing as the volume knob on your guitar...i would see if adjusting guitar volume takes care of your problem before dropping cash on a volume pedal
Answer:
You didn't list the Behringer. I have one. It works, and it's cheap.

The pro is it uses a VCA, so there's no pot to become scratchy after a year or two.

And did I mention it's cheap?

Don't plug direct to PA, it will sound harsh and unappealing, the amp's speakers take off a lot of harshness, and going direct will bypass the speakers.
I personally use the Ernie Ball VP Jr.

I have one of those rogue volume pedals. Its not the smoothest or anything, but for $10 bucks, it hardly scratched any budget.

lets see, the reason this whole volume disscusion came up is cause i can't get quiet enough. guitar volume pot is as low as i can stand it and the amp is aswell. a volume pedal will alow me to go to even lower levels, correct?

i'll check out the Behringer one, see if it will work. i've heard good things about the ernie ball one and the dunlop, i just copied & pasted all the links to volume pedals from the musicians friend volume pedal page. or most of them at least. i didn't really look at any of them though. i think i'll do that now.

*edit*
ok i looked at the Behringer one and didn't really like it. i want something thats built like a tank. or at least an armored car :P

woah, i totally forgot something in my first post....

i added a link that i forgot before. it explains why i have this thread. read it here.

Basically, it's a second volume control. Your amp's control sucks, so this is more or less a replacement sort of deal.
Answer:
ok cool. guess that means i need to save up.

Problem Solved for $10 +s/h
that's basically the same thing as a volume pedal, without the handy dandy footpedal...which you aren't going to be using anyway.
Answer:
I built a similar box that I use with my C30 - works good!
Answer:
dude that is like the coolest thing ever! does it really work good? like you can crank your amp and turn it waaaay down?

Answer:
so it would work on a solid state as well? i guess i wouldn't be crushed if it didn't work since its only $10... altough i wouldn't mind having a volume pedal either.
