what do you think of these effects?

Question:
well, after i get a new amp, i have plans on putting togheter a pedal board. so... what do you think of these effects?
Boss DS-1 Distortion
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver
Ibanez DE7 Delay/Echo
Ibanez CF7 Chorus/Flanger
So, what do you guys think of those pedals?
Answer:
sounds good, but i would replace one of the distortoins with a tunner.
Answer:
I'd drop the DS-1. I've heard bad things about them, and I'm not a distortion guy myself. Get the Blues Driver and have Brian (indyguitarist.com) mod it for you. He has some INSANELY sweet BD-2 mods. Good prices too. In the end unless you are dead set on a distortion, the modded Blues Driver would more than do the job, and the blues driver + mod would be cheaper than the DS-1 and the BD-2 together.
Check eBay for some good deals on effects pedals...
I'm not familiar with either of the Ibanez pedals you mentioned.
Answer:
What kind of amp are you getting that you still need two distortion pedals? Amp distortion is usually much better than pedal distortion.
Answer:
I dono man, i prefer a more cleaner sounding overdrive without losing my tone, i have a rat2 and a classic 30 amp. And i alos like the bd-2. I had the the ds-1 and i really dont care for it.

Answer:

I just remembered actually that I'm not sure if he's still doing mods for the time being, but you could go to his website and send him an e-mail.
Basically he turns a mediocre sounding pedal into an awesome sounding pedal. He has a couple different mods for the BD-2 (soundclips are on his site), or you can tell him what kind of tone your looking for and he can do it. Very reasonable prices (I think $50 shipped back to you, you pay shipping there).
He modded my TS9 and I love it.
Answer:
I've had both of those ibanez pedals before. They're cool since you have 2 effects in one, but they're not the greatest quality pedals. I would only suggest the DE-7 since that's the best of the two, but if I were you I would save up and get a boss or the ultimate....DM4 by line 6. As for the CF-7, it really isn't a very good pedal. THe flanger is noisy and the chorus isn't that plush. But it really comes down to whether you like the sound that it makes or not. Good luck with your choice!
Answer:
what would you recommend for a chorus/flanger?
Answer:
i own the ibanez cf7 and really can't recommend it. it's usable, but the quality just isn't there.
i'm not sure about flangers, but the danelectro cool cat is a great chorus.
Answer:
i have the digitech multichorus. it might not be to everyone's taste, but i like it since it can give a real thick sound. in terms of flangers, i can't really say which to get since i'm looking for one myself. i've really only heard the boss flanger and it's good quality....i can't remember if it was noisy or not but that would ideal if there wasn't a swooshing going on through the amp.
Answer:
yeah, i have a dano flanger (hash browns) and half the time you can barely hear it, except for that wooshing and swirling in the amp. ill check out the cool cat chorus though.
Answer:
i also am no longer a fan of the ds-1. i've had it for a while and my tubescreamer cuts through much better. although, i didn't have issues cutting through the mix when i used the ds-1 with an ebow. but hey, i can't use my ds-1 anymore anyways. for it is dead.
Answer:
ok, so i should skip the ds-1? got any other suggestions for a distortion pedal or chorus/flanger pedal?
