Pedal Pad MPS - Any thoughts?

Question:
Since I got my Rivera amp, I've rediscovered my pedals. I'm looking at a powered one like the Pedal Pad which seems like the most affordable and flexible. Does anyone have one or have other options that might be comparable? I don't need a super long one, but I want to replace this one and would probably want a hard cover. The Phasor and Traynor amp switch are out and a Blues Driver is on the board instead. Plus, I would want to mount my Rivera switch pedal on it just for convenience.

Answer:
Obviously if you have the money get a Pedal Train. Total beasts, let me tell ya.
Let me know a little more about your needs. Like where are you going to be taking it and how much can you spend? How many pedals is the most you'd have on it at one time?
Answer:
I looked at the PT's and they are not powered. For the same price of the PT board alone, which is around $300, I can get the MPS which is powered. I will have my amp footswitch (a three button switch, so longer than normal), the Tonebone, a Blues Driver, Korg tuner and the three Dano's which may be replaced later, except for the EQ and maybe the compressor. It won't be a monster board for sure.
Answer:
Well, its no small amount of pedals. But its not huge...and you may want to expand a pedal or two later. This is probably for you:

I built mine and it's great. I gigged with it for the first time last night and I really like it. It's just a 1X4 foot piece of plywood with some 2x4's at the bottom for height. I drilled in some handles and a surge protector on the bottom. I made it from pieces around dad's workshop for free. Try out something like this before you go dropping some megacash (that you could spend on other pedals!). After doing this, there's no way I would drop cash on a pedalboard. And i've already gotten a lot of comments on the unique, pedal board.

I could definately see building your own. I built a pad similar to the one snizzle described for my room (i never take it out). But if I did decide to take it out I could always build my own case too, ATA style. Very cheap and easy...and I have no building experience!
Answer:
Wayne, you might talk to Ed on CMF about a pedal train.

Thanks. Actually, I did see this before I posted the thread, but the PT's already cost $300 before Ed would touch it (I think). But, it won't hurt to ask him.
And thanks to Soapbar and Snizzle, but like I said, I'm looking for a hard case too. One characteristic of the Pedal Pad I like is the tiered setup and the fact you can hide the cables, connectors and any AC cords under the surface. Has anyone else had any experience with these or any others? I've looked at the SKB and the Pedal Pad at GC, but the SKB was more expensive by about $50.

Well, here's an update. Following Steve Lowe's suggestion, I got a Pedal Train board with a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ supply. It's great and a lot cleaner. The cords are out of the way under the board as well as the power supply. Setup will be a snap, plug in the power, connect the amp footswitch, pedal out and guitar cord in, and I'm done. And, there's lots of room even though I have my amp footswitch mounted on.
