effects loop (on an amp)
Question: ok so, i just got a new amp for christmas, and it rocks. i wont go into model or anything blah blah blah, but it has an effects loop. now i was wondering what effects you put into one of these babies. i was reading the volume pedal thread and it seems like you would put one of those into the effects loop, but what else? i think i heard somewear that you want to keep your OD and distortion between your guitar and amp, but i don't know. so just a nice explanation of what an effects loop is for and what you would put into it would be nice. Answer: You put any effects in the FX loop, basically, that you want after the amp distortion. This generally means your delays, reverbs, phasers, flangers, choruses, volumes, volume boosts, etc. Stuff that goes before the amp is generally distortion/overdrive/gain, volumes used as gain, compressors, and the like. Answer: ok, thats what i was lookin for. thanks. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
