Dano Tuna Melt
Question: So this is my first experience with a tremolo. I just got it new today from MF and it's interesting. I haven't really found a good use for it yet. Also, it has a hard/soft switch. I'm not sure exactly what it's supposed to do but when I switch it to 'hard' the sound goes dead. I'm assuming this isn't what's supposed to happen... What does the 'hard' switch do? What's the most effective way to use tremolo? Do you combine it w/ other effects? Stand alone? Use it on solos? Lead lines? Rhythm? Answer: The hard/soft switch probably switches between a sine wave and a square wave for the trem. So basically smooth or stutter. Answer: Originally Posted by LWatford The hard/soft switch probably switches between a sine wave and a square wave for the trem. So basically smooth or stutter. this is correct. Tremolo usage really can vary. I've heard it used on solos or as a rhythmic piece. I've always thought of "How Soon Is Now" by the Smiths being a good example of tremolo usage. Answer: I find tremolo is very effective in slower songs which have space that can fit the effect. Generally, I don't like it too fast, maybe about 1/8 note speed. What I like about tremolo is it adds a certain "bigness" to your sound. It makes me say, "cool!" I don't know how the Dano works, but it shouldn't go dead. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
