Help would be appreciated.
Question: I got a BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay for Christmas. I've had fun messing with the delay on my Peavey practice amp, so I must have mentioned to my dad at some point that I'd like to have a delay pedal, as he bought me one. After some initial messing about, I realized I really have no idea what to do with a delay. I've gotten some interesting sounds out of it, but I'm not sure what practical purpose I can put it towards. I'm sure I can use it and that I will find many uses for it and hopefully inspire some creativity, but I was hoping to get some ideas from the folks in the Effects forum. Give me some ideas here. Settings, etc. Answer: Originally Posted by Skeeter I got a BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay for Christmas. Answer: Some slapback or small amounts of delay can do absolutely amazing things to your lead tone. Answer: I love using delay for leads. When playing the higher notes, it gives your playing "space", a quality that I love. Answer: U2 covers? I use my delay mainly for leads; It gives it a really spacious effect, a little more sustain, and sounds great. A good example of what I'm talking about is on the songs "23" and "Polaris" by Jimmy Eat World. Answer: I was exactly in your position, and then I just tried it on my leads, and it sure makes it ten times better! Answer: Thanks for the advice guys. I've come up with some interesting ways of using it and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
