Electric Guitar Distortion Pedal

Question:
hello. i play electric guitar in my church praise band. but the pedal i use sounds horrible for worship songs. i use a Boss Metal Zone Distortion Pedal.
what distortion pedal do christian worship artists use for their songs? or what effects or settings do the electric guitar parts use? what effects do they use? what settings can i use to make it sound good?
any information is welcome.
thanks a lot!
Answer:
wrong forum. this should be in effects.
Answer:
Yeah, a Boss Metal Zone wouldn't exactly be the best for worship. What kind of amp are you using? Try and get a tube amp and use that distortion, it is the best kind of distortion you can get.
Answer:
An overdrive pedal would probably suit you best
Answer:
yes, an overdrive is best suited for worship
check out the barber direct drive
good stuff
Answer:
i have a Boss Blues Driver (BD2) on my board that gets used often. definatly check that out...
Answer:
Ahhh... I forgot about the BD-2. Good pedal.
Answer:
Either of these 2 should do you very well for a small price.

Try and get a tube amp and use that distortion, it is the best kind of distortion you can get. ive been to a church where a guy used some heavy distortion. i dont know what pedal it was but it was REALLY heavy. but normally worship songs do not go well with heavy metal distortion. i agree with the other guys. the BD-2 would work well.

whoooooooooosh!
Answer:
I go for the SD-1 SUPER Overdrive myself... Love it. I've used it on many different amps, tube to solid state, with wonderful results on every one. TubeScreamers are great too, but the copies that you can get now-a-days (you know, the ones in the $70-90 range) didn't stand up to the SD-1 in my opinion.
Answer:
check out fulltone
either the full drive 2 the '69 or hte '70
