Ok, is this crazy?
Question: Well, the other day, I was jamming with a few friends, and a couple of our cables got a little tangled and mixed up due to the tight space we were in. My guitar got plugged into this bass amp. I was wondering why my guitar sounded different. We finally figured out what was up and I loved what I was hearing. I've always prefered a more low chunky tone and I finally found it. Would this amp be a good investment? I really loved the sound I got from it. Answer: Your post says two things to me 1) Originally Posted by akaukal I was wondering why my guitar sounded different. At the most, I'd recommend looking at other 1x15 bass combos perhaps, but ultimately if you've found the tone you want, then pursue it. The Ashdown Blue series is their low-end line, but it's supposed to be pretty decent on the whole. Answer: i also enjoy playing my guitar in bass amps once and a while, specially for clean sounds Answer: Yeah, I love bass amp cleans. Though, you tend to get a little too much low end when playing with a band, with the right EQ, you can get a beautiful clean. I've played my guitar through some Ashdowns (higher end), and could get a bit of decent grit, though I would have used pedals for distorted tones (probably would need some EQ to dial out excessive bass as well). I was using pedals at the time. I'm definetly gonna play around with the EQ settings. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
