Danelectro Fish 'n' Chips and Fender PT-100
Question: Hey there. I just bought the Fish 'n' Chips and the PT-100 for $75. I'm planning on using it with pretty much everything (accoustic, electric, bass..) and was wondering what kind of opinions people had of these? The first time i'll get to use them is likely leading worship in a few weeks when I candidate for a Worship Leader position so I wanted to make sure i'm going to sound ok. Any one used these? -shane Answer: The Fish 'n' Chips is incredibly popular 'round these parts... Answer: I have a hard time following Dano and their thing with food names. What does this one do? Answer: EQ Answer: I own a PT-100. Great tuner. I use it for my electric rig on the worship team. It's true bypass too, which is always nice. Answer: I've got 2 of the Fish n Chips, had them for quite a while now. IMO, they sound great and hold up if you take care of them. Answer: Originally Posted by ibanez_dude I own a PT-100. I know I asked you this in another thread, but you didn't respond to that one (maybe you missed it?)...but did you actually trace the signal through the circuit board? I did get, but not for a while. You weren't getting that nitpicky either. You asked me to retest the pedal to make sure I was using the right output. There is one output that lets the signal go through even while you are tuning. The other mutes when you are tuning. I took out the battery and unplugged it from the onespot I have, and then I tested the mute one. With absolutely no power and when not in tuning mode, the signal will still go through the pedal. Is that good enough for you? Answer: Originally Posted by ibanez_dude I did get, but not for a while. You weren't getting that nitpicky either. Is that good enough for you? Not really, because you didn't trace the circuit. All you showed was that the pedal uses a mechanical bypass instead of a electronic bypass. Electronic bypass is what you find on alot of pedals. I think you would benefit from reading about the different types of bypass and how they work from here http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/articles/bypass.htm Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
