Small Clone
Question: So I was thinking about picking one of these up... Are they at all versatile? Is the only sound I'll be able to get out of it "Come As You Are"? Answer: I've never tried one, but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Answer: I loved mine for the time I had it. In fact, IMO, I think the Small Clone has a better chorus sound than the patches on the XTL.. Shh.. Don't tell anyone. Answer: Yeah, I must say that the POD lacks a bit on chorus variety. Answer: I have only messed around with it in store, but I really like it. I don't know about "Come as you Are" specifically, but thats the corus Kurdt used most often. *edited in* ha. i typed "kurdt" as a mistake. Answer: Yes, but is it a versatile pedal? Answer: Ohhhhhh sorry. Read that "Will i be able to get the sound out of it from come as you are" In that case, I don't remember. SOrry mate. Answer: I would say that it isn't incredibly versitile (it only has one knob and one switch, and they only change speeds). But the sounds that it has are really quite good. I would recommend it unless you really use chorus a lot and need a wider range of sounds. Answer: Cobain would often spell his name as "Kurdt". As a play on his real name. However, I know way too much Nirvana trivia. Answer: Originally Posted by Rainer. Cobain would often spell his name as "Kurdt". As a play on his real name. Could it pull off "Dramamine" by Modest Mouse, for example? Answer: I have a small clone, and it sounds amazing! Answer: Well I messed with one yesterday, and I really liked it. It had a nice sound... But it wasn't really that versatile. I'll think about buying one, though. I'm not really sure what I'd use it for. Answer: I don't know about the song dramamine by modest mouse, but I had an opportunity to play one quite extensively one time, and the only thing I have to say about it, is that it's simply the vest chorus I've ever heard. It just has it's own sound, which is an amazing one. I can tell you that if you get it, you won't be dissapointed. Sorry if this post desn't help much, but it is just really lush and beautiful sounding. It will make you approach chorus in a new way. Answer: Yeah, it can almost do Dramamine, but it is really beautiful. But I'm just not sure how much I'd use it, now that I've messed with it. (A good 25-30 minutes.) Answer: I have one too. My $.02....it has a unique sound compared to other choruses out there. Use it on slow songs...awesome. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
