Looking for another OD
Question: OK, so I'm looking for a second OD to add to my board, hopefully to be able to get a creamier, smoother sound if I want it. Here's my current rig (in order): Guitar Crybaby Bad Monkey Danelectro Tuna Melt (FS ) Rocktron Tsunami Matrix Tuner Trademark 60 I'm running my TM60 with very, very, very light dirt on channel 1, and full on Marshall sound for 2. The BM is set about midway on the gain. Here's some of the pedals I've been looking at. Do you have suggestions? Screamin' Blues TS7 Another Bad Monkey Ideas? CL Answer: can you achieve the sound you want with the BM you have? If so, I think you have your answer. Answer: I woud say you should check out the Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive. It gives off a very warm clean sound and other options. Answer: Originally Posted by thesteve can you achieve the sound you want with the BM you have? If so, I think you have your answer. Yeah, I think that's what the BM is made for. Answer: I wouldn't reccomend the TS-7....it's usable...rather thin...but nothing special about it....I'm sure there are better pedals out there for only a little bit more money. I've heard good things about the Bad Monkey's....those are Analog right? Answer: I have another Bad Monkey I'm willing to let go...If you care? Answer: Yes. I'll take it if the price is right. I have a Danelectro Tuna Melt to trade if you're interested. Otherwise, just name a price and I'll let you know. Yes, I have one of those and its tone is unbelieveable. I would also recommend the Seymour Duncan Twin Tub Class, or the Tech21 SansAmp Tube Emulator. All magnifencent tones, and with OD's. Answer: Have you ever played a Tech 21 Double Drive? Very sweet pedal. It's got a creamy type distortion sound. Two slightly different (tonally) drive knobs, and you can blend them.
