new bass amp
Question: alright i want a new bass amp so can put this together a 300 watt head at 4 ohms one cab 8 ohms at 2 600 watt cab at 8 ohms will this work????? Answer: How you gonna connect those cabs? IN series or in parellel (most do in parrelel) Basicly if they are in parrlel it's half of the impedence, so 2 8ohms cabs = a total of 4ohms resistence. A 300watt head at 4ohms could drive your 2 8ohm cabs, but why the third cab? Sell it and upgrade bass stuff... Answer: I think you need to re-explain your setup before anyone can accurately help...and this time in English and using complete sentences would be helpful. Answer: a behringer head that is 300 watts and has inputs for cabs on the back. it says you can have 4 ohms if one speaker hooked up and 8 ohms with two speakers. the cab is 600 watts and is 8 ohms will this set up work Answer: a yes or no would be nice..... Answer: Okay first lets clear this up...how many cabs do you have?? IF you have just one cab, then this is what it wants, a 40hm load If you have 2 cabs, then it must be connected in seriers and it wants 8ohms (that is two 40hm Cabinets) NOw you have to answer this question for us to help you please: HOW MANY CABS do you have, how many ohms are the cab(s)?? It tells you that it can either do one or the other (I'm guessing you have 2 speaker outputs right?) WHat is the model of the Head? How many cabs do you have/want to hook up? Answer: Originally Posted by billy_brown a yes or no would be nice..... Yes. But you won't be getting the full power out of the head. Answer: behringer xb3000t 300 watt bass head (i think thats the right modle ONE legion sound emi 410 bass cab at 8 ohms Lwattford, will i be loud enough to play gigs??? the reason im asking is ecause im a guitar player and we had two in our band, i willing sayed i would play bass because i had the gear, well my pavey isnt loud enough withought clipping it so i need something new. Thats one of those "maybe" questions...in some cases a 100w bass amp will do...in others, well, you might as well have a practice amp. Do you have any P.A. support when you play out? How loud is your band? What amps are the guitar players using? Answer: we are pretty loud. our drummer plays pretty hard and our guitar player usually uses a peavy delta blues but he is using my 410 bass man till ihe can get some new tubes. i do have a pa backing me up bur when i ask the sound man to turn me up loud enough to hear (when im micing my amp) it over powers the pa. we are hoping to be able to have our own pa before to long. we are using the youth broups pa and its pretty crappy but our sound guy is awsome, he can make just about anything sound good. the amp i am using now is a peavey tnt 115 which is 75 watts at 8 ohms and 100 watts t 4 ohms. i was wondering if i could get a peavey 210 vxt cab with tht and it make it louder. Answer: Okay thanks for clarification. I also had a peavey TKO 115, it was loud but your right it clipped when i turned to high with my 5 string couldn't handle it. I know use a Marshall bass state which suprises me in its loudness! And it handles my 5string like I can't believe. To answer your question, just hook up your 8ohm cab to one of the outputs (you won't get full power cuz your cab is 8ohms and your head gives 4ohms, but this is good because its better to have more resistance than less!) It should be loud enough if its 300watts for sure man. Happy giggin. Does it have a line out? One of the better ways to send bass to the house is to D/I it on a line out then you can turn up your amp as your own monitor and not worry about the level mix. Answer: something to think about if you think you're having problems cutting through...what's going on on stage, and what's going on in the crowd are two very different things. for my bass rig i'm using my acoustic 150 head and the cabinet from a crate gfx 212 that we took the amp out of. my guitarist uses a peavey classic 50 4x10 and my drummer is pretty loud. still i'm usually able to hear myself just off the amp itself...i don't know if you were talking about lack of onstage volume or offstage volume though. Answer: see i think some of you have it mixed up. my bass rig is now a peavy tnt 115 whic i was think of adding a peavey 210 tvx, would that be loud enough or a behringer 300 watt bx3000t which has two peaker out puts on the back and says 4 ohms with one peaker and 8 ohms with two. what if i put a 600 watt cab with 8ohms (one speaker not two) i would really like to just add a cab to my peavey but im not sure if it will make it louder. Answer: another cab will increase your dispersion, which might be enough to overcome your volume problems. you said your guitarist had a peavey delta blues...what other instruments are you working with? what kind of venue(s) are you playing? i really couldn't imagine your current amp not being enough, but if you ran it at 100watts through an extension it might back your perceived volume higher. Answer: we are about to have one outside tommorrow then next week we will have another outside and then next we ware playing outside again and thats all we have giged for right now so i guess you could say small and large venues (large meaning outside.)
