The new Digitech RP series
Question: Anyone try out the new Digitech RP series yet? Here are the new features. The improved features that stand out for me are: new audio chip (I think its the same one that's in the GNX series) USB interface more effects amp/mixer switch same price as the old series (glad I sold my RP100 before this new model came out) On the downside they still don't have a tap delay. I think the new Zoom G series are much better in the delay department. I love the tap delay, reverse delay and multi-tap delay on my Zoom A2. Answer: It looks like (to me) the RP100 in a new case Answer: Originally Posted by RipVanWinkle It looks like (to me) the RP100 in a new case Really? Even with the more powerful chip? I thought it looked the opposite to me; a new generation RP in the old case. Answer: I thought about getting one, but I have and RP-50 and don't like it much. It's great through the headphones, but is pretty weak through my amp. I'm leaning more towards the zoom G2 because I had a 3030 back in the day and thought that was awesome. Of course, the other day when I pointed out the podxt live to my wife and said that I didn't need that much processing she said, "yes you do." However, with a new guitar and a new amp, I should probably limit the effects budget as much as possible for a while. Looks like a scalled down XTL.. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...dal?sku=150446 It's not getting that great of reviews on MF. For $50 less the new RP250 seems to kick the newer POD's rear end... USB connectivity, X-edit software that you can download for free... And you can download the drivers and use the new 250 for recording to most if not all recording software... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...dal?sku=156607 Answer: Take a listen to the RP250 Demo's... It even comes with an intelligent pitch shifter.... Sweet... http://www.digitech.com/RP250Demo/ Answer: I'm still not too impressed with DigiTech, but maybe that's because I have an RP-50. I wish zoom had demos. Answer: This May be stupid question, (i know there are no stupid questions....), i looked at the Line 6 Floor POD, and it said Chromatic tuner there, but i couldn't find, from the look of it, how the "tuning" is displayed, or how it works... could anyone maybe give me a quick headsup on that one .
