Indyguitarist DS1 Mod

Question:
Well, while CGR was down, I downloaded the mod info for the Boss DS1. I got the parts and stuff yesterday, and I finished the mod today. I did the tube emulator mod, and I have to say that this is so much better than stock. I'm not exactly sure how much, since I haven't tried either through a nice amp, but still very nice. I think it has just enough distortion for my needs. I can't post clips though, because Audacity has been stupid and I uninstalled it.
Answer:
Cool, how long did it take you? I've been looking to get into the DIY thing a little. I'm basically waiting for some Christmas cash to get started. I've just been reading a lot about it for now.
Answer:
A couple of hours. It would be a good idea to start on something that you don't really care about, because first-time soldering can be pretty messy.

I agree with you on that one fully. also be carefull bout the heat that the soldering pencil produces. when i modded my ts9dx i held it to long on the led and i fried it. i made it burn out so i had to replace it. witch is fine i was doing that any ways but be carefull round delicate parts like that.
im also planning on modding my new mxr pedal aslo wiht the indy mods i got the whole mod list for like all the pedals so when i buy one im always ready to see if i can mod it.
Answer:
The DS-1 is a great pedal to start modding with. I did the IG Classic Rock mod, and it was defintely more usable.
