VOCAL AMP!
Question: Ok, i need to get a vocal amp pronto! for a garage band that is mostly a set of drums, a 150w spider 2 amp and a 100 marshall amp i need a vocal amp that can stand up to that kind of stuff, i know nothing of vocal amps, so whats a good deal. i'mtalking price range of $300 ish dollars Answer: if you only need it for practice, just get a high wattage bass amp like a Peavey TKO or similar (like a Crate or something). Answer: If you are willing to spend a little bit more (or try and find one used), you could try for one of these. My church has one that it uses for banquets and events and what-not, and it works very well. The only real advantage I see to that is that it's battery powered, and if they just need something for practices, it's an unnecessary feature. Answer: a nicer karaoke machine will work for practice... How about this Behringer? It has a bass, midrange and tweeter which will give you a better frequency range than a bass amp. I don't know how good they are, but feature wise they seem to offer a lot of bang for the buck. Answer: Originally Posted by presbystrat A keyboard amp would work too. How about this Behringer? I've heard that Behringers tend to not be very efficient in terms of their wattage/volume ratios, but I don't know to what extent this is true. A wide-range keyboard amp is definitely a good thing to look into. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
