did i get a good deal on this original 80's tubescreamer?
Question: just got a tubescreamer from the 80's on ebay for 80$ anyone know what they go for normally? it looks like its a ts9 does anyone know if they have true-bypass? Answer: I'm not sure how much they go for normally. It probably is a vintage model though, and hey, it's a tubescreamer . I think you're really gonna find out how good the deal was when you plug in and play with it. Personally, I think that's the best way to judge the price on an effect. CL Answer: it'd be easier to answer the question if you linked us to the one you bought. If it's just a TS-9, $70+ seems to be the going rate for them. Nothing special about $80. Answer: It will also depend on exactly when it was made. Answer: The "classic" tubescreamer is the TS-808. They're usually the ones going for exorbitant $150+ prices. Answer: http://www.analogman.com/tshist.htm This should help you date it when you get it. Answer: You'll need to see the bottom label and possibly open it up and see what chip is in it. Answer: i read something about the different chips in the older models. one them sucks or something. i will post it when i get it. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
