what does an EQ pedal do?

Question:
okay it EQUALIZES sound right? cool.
how does it work? say i have a crybaby wah and a boss od/distor pedal, how would my EQ pedal work there?
also what is a cheap one i can get? i heard something about a dan electro one, but i forgot about it
Answer:
Danelectro fish 'n' chips is a often recommended EQ pedal.
how it works is going to be the same no matter what your rig is...and EQs are pretty versatile in their response...the way it sounds is going to vary according to how you set it up.
