ebay amp

Question:
is this a good amp (and i swear, the first person to say "get a tube", i will personally come to your house, and give you a swirley )
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...751466874&rd=1
Answer:
When I read about the features of the amp, I get the feeling that this is not a very good, durable, nice-sounding machine but rather a cheap, landfill-fodder-type amp with enough shiny bells and whistles to distract some beginner-like folks away from the real liklihood that it's probably a piece o' junk.
Just my opinion, though.
Nate

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...751466874&rd=1 no it is not
It makes a mighty fine block to stack stuff on top of or whatever you would do with a block....
Answer:
No it's not that great, from what I can tell.
I agree. It'll make a great doorstop...
get a tuu...
Answer:
it's a 50watter with an 8" speaker...that was the first red flag for me...after that i kinda stopped looking at any of the other features. i've never heard of this company, and considering how the guy tries to sell himself ("i've been int he business xx years") i'd say it's not a good choice at all.
Answer:
Looks like a hefty sales pitch. I wouldn't be disappointed if the amp doesn't live up to its expectations. For that price you could get a real solid state amp thats worth its price tag, perhaps a used peavey bandit or something of that nature.
I'm not going to tell you to get a tube, however I do recommend looking elsewhere than just what you say on ebay.
Answer:
he doesn't state the weight (that i saw), but i bet it would make a great doorstop
Answer:
The impression I get is that you'd be taking a big risk if you get that amp -- the packaging is pretty but most likely the amp is substandard with a lot of undisclosed shortcomings.
For $119 you should be able to find a name-brand amp on Ebay or a decent used amp from your local music store. There are also some beginner's amps for that price such the Fender Frontman 15W and Vox Pathfinder. My favorite little amp is the Roland Microcube ($125).
