Questions about leading with ME pedals
Question: hey guys -- everybody here seems pretty helpful. for the past few weeks i've been searching around for a good ME pedal. i guess my first question is: do you recommend leading worship (acoustic) with a ME pedal? my main desire is to get some sweet & gentle chorus/reverb/delay sounds with the possibility of all the other cool stuff down the road. secondly: what pedal do you recommend? i've narrowed it down to the boss GT-6, the boss ME-50, or the POD XTLive are those practical for what i want to do? if not, let me know what you think would be a good alternative. thanks! Answer: oh, by the way, i'm leaning toward the POD XTLive! Answer: If you just want light acoustic effects, I'd go for something like the Yamaha Magic Stomp Acoustic or the zoom A2. You won't have much need for the Amp models or distortions on the ones you mentioned, plus these ones are much cheaper, and simpler, with similar quality. Yes, however, if you play electric also, then I would get the POD XTL. Answer: I've owned the ME-50 and now have an XTL. If you don't need amp models, go with the ME-50. The effects on the ME-50 were very nice. Answer: Originally Posted by Building429_Boy I've owned the ME-50 and now have an XTL. If you don't need amp models, go with the ME-50. The effects on the ME-50 were very nice. ok cool. the only thing is, though, i DO play electric guitar (mostly at home for recording & practicing) so would i get more mileage out of the amp effects of the POD still? Answer: Just for the sake of discussion and your consideration, I'll suggest the Digitech GNX3000. I've had mine now for about a half year and I play through nothing else. I love the chorus effect on this one too. Answer: Originally Posted by Hopeful Just for the sake of discussion and your consideration, I'll suggest the Digitech GNX3000. Does the GNX have a whammy pedal built in? *hugs Pod* Answer: Originally Posted by trevelynzx ok cool. the only thing is, though, i DO play electric guitar (mostly at home for recording & practicing) so would i get more mileage out of the amp effects of the POD still? I certainly would. I guess it really depends on how nice your amp is, and if you want other tones, or if you're satisfied with the ones you have. Answer: Originally Posted by Building429_Boy Does the GNX have a whammy pedal built in? *hugs Pod* Yes, there's a setting. Answer: hey guys- thanks for all the help so far! i really appreciate it!! so far i'm still leaning toward the POD. it seems to have great reviews, both for live and practice sessions. i would enjoy playing around with the amp models and would definitely get more mileage out of that kind of stuff later on when i upgrade my hardware. so... does anybody know where (beside Ebay, which is where i'm currently looking) i can find a good deal on one of these? thanks! Craigslist.com is basically an online classifieds site. It's where I found my XT Live for $200. Answer: scchhhhhhweeeeeet!!! i'll head over there now. Answer: do you play electric outside of church? if so then go with a nicer effects processor because you will end up using it more. That's what we said, and why he is still leaning towards a POD. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
