Behringer?
Question: Has anyone ever played a "V-ampire L1-112" Here's the link. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/..._id=0009952098 Like it? Seems like a good, cheap amp. 'Cause I'm getting either a epi g-400(vintage brown) or this first. And the fact that i don't.. I don't really have, one of those.. um... *cough* jobs, right now. So it will be a while before i have both of them. edit: Don't make two posts where one will suffice. Seems like a good, cheap amp. well, i really don't care for behringers... many of their amps are more of a hit-or-miss basis. one of my friends has a Ultratwin GX210, which i'm not at all impressed with. sure, its loud, but... it lacks character and warmth... (ie, its solid state). this amp had a higher reviews than i anticipated it would... i still wouldn't get it though... most people on here would tell you to invest in a small/medium(5 to 30watts), tube amp... and get an attentuator. tube give such a nice, warm tone to the amp, and when the volume is raised, it goes into a nice, full, overdrive. attentuators are nice, so that you can overdrive the amp, while limiting the amount of power going to the speakers; thus being able to get tube distortion at any volume. another option i would suggest is the vox valvetronix series (ad15vt or ad30vt). it is a hybrid amp that does a great job at capturing the tube sound, with quite a bit of flexibility, and doesn't cost a fortune. also, a 50x2 watts seems a little excessive. for most applications, a 15-30 watt tube amp can easily handle almost any application. 50watts or so solid-state should be able to hande it. my vox ad30vt is only 30watts solid state, but can easily play over drums. while the behringer may be OK, i wouldn't buy it, and i wouldn't recommend it. my 2 cents.... so, what are you looking for in an amp? good tone? flexibility? volume? Answer: Baisicly, the most bells and whistles for under three hundred. I would like to have the most effects of the amp itself. One thing I like about this is that it has behringers copy of L6's pod built in. And beside the only amp that i've ever owned is a cheap squire practice amp. But I borrow a friend of mine's amp. It's one of those marshal 30watt amp with 7 DSP effects. If anybody has any cheap amps, that their satisfied with, that would help. Originally Posted by Jjesus Freak If anybody has any cheap amps, that their satisfied with, that would help. vox valvetronix ad30vt... $240... great tone, moderate effects, great flexibility. it has a variety of effects... more than i use. compression, chorus, reverb, delay, flanger, phaser, tremelo... it limits you in the way you select them, but its enough to satisfy me. this is the best 'bang for the buck' that i could suggest to you. its much louder than any application i've found it for; tone covers most everything from vintage fender and vox cleans to marshall and other high-gain distortions. incredible price. knowing what i know about it now, i would gladly have paid 300+ for it. btw, i know a lot of people also suggest another solid state amp... roland cube, or something like that. i don't have any experiance with it; they'll have to fill you in on that one. Answer: Thanks, that looks alot better than the other one. I'll check it out. Thanks alot man. Answer: Under 300? Well, you can buy a used Fender Blues Jr. for about 250 dollars on ebay. Sure, it doesn't have any effects except reverb, but it sounds 179481729847198572193871247 times better than the amps that have every single effect there ever was. Answer: 179481729847198572193871247 correction: 179481729847198572193871248 You forgot that it LOOKS twice as cool Answer: I have a behringer gx212 ultratwin - very disappointed in it (but at least I got it at 75% off). The knobs are cheap plastic and break off, the effects are all uneven in volume. I'd recommend the new line 6 spider 11's, they have a 15watt that sounds way better. my opinion. Scott Answer: behringer. Er guitar wise ... is there a puke smiley???? no power in the amps. My friends got a 15 watt one that sounds like 1 watt. Full blast. They do some cool and cheap bass and pa stuff but their guitar stuff stinks. Answer: I agree that their amps suck, I tried one out when the music store opened so I coud crank it up. And It wasn't loud. But I liked the effefts somewhat. So I bought the X V-amp for 70 bucks. The effects are pretty average. And It'll hold me over while I get the money for a good tube amp.
