From what I understand, the only two brands of digital modelling amps you have to choose from that are any good are Line 6 and Vox. What are you going to be using this amp for (casual messing around, playing live, sacrificing small animals, etc.)?

I don't know if you m eant digital amps or modeling in general, but the best name out there is tech 21. They are considered by many to be "boutique solid-state." I've had the chance to hear one of these live more than once, and let me tell you, I was blown away.
Abother very plausible option is the Line 6 Vetta. It is the most amazing modeling amp I've ever played in the overall category. Check it out. If you liked the flextone, you'll fall in love with the Vetta II.

Tech21 is certainly one of the best solid-state options, however I don't know if they carry the same reputation in the digital market.

I'd add Fender and Marshall to the list - though not so much the low end ones. I like the Cyber Twin for one.

are you looking for an amp with digital signal processing or a full digital modeler?
Answer:
i will be using it for prasie and worship at my church.
i just like the idea of saving effects into a foot pedal digitally and all.
my budget however is another question, it'd probably be a grand. and i know that the vetta 2 is like double that so any suggestions on amps + foot pedals with those options?
i will probably be getting a epi les paul standard too, if it makes a difference
