Marshall Valvestate 2000 AVT 20
This is a smaller combo amp that packs a whallop! It's incredibly loud for its size. It was built VERY well in England. AVT20 has a closed-back cabinet and a specially-designed Celestion 10" speaker. The design and quality of the cab is a 10 out of 10. Marshall did a great job with this guy
I've used this amp in numerous recordings and gigs...its very loud for 20 watts.
When Cranked this little guy sounds very Marshallesque (think big 4x12 cabs, but WAY lower volume). The cleans are very nice sounding!
Its got a preamp that came with a stock ECC83 preamp tube. I upgraded it to a standard 12AX7. I will include the original ECC83 tube...it also has a super MOSFET power amp section.
Features include: Gain, Volume, Gain boost, 3-band EQ, NICE sounding spring reverb, CD in, Direct In, Headphone out, and Extension Cab out.
Ive used this as a head before, and it sounds superb.
The only minor issue (which is purely cosmetic) is that there is a little dent in the face of the chasis. This happend in the car while driving to Glen Rose over the summer...it was in there with the cymbal stands...dang drummer! There are also 2 or 3 small half inch tears in the tolex...nothing major at all (I just noticed it)
