need advice on boss dd-6

Question:
Hey,
I recently bought a boss dd-6 delay pedal and i'd like some advice on how to get good sounds out of it and stuff like that.
Thanx,
Noah
Answer:
you send it to me, and I make good sounds with it!
lol
Just kidding. Just make sure to use the tap tempo function and just play and tweak.
Answer:
Thanx for the reply. How exactly do you use the tap tempo thing.
Thanx,
Noah

Answer:
I believe on the DD6, you have to hold the button down for 2-3 seconds and the LED will either blink or change color...then you can start tapping the tempo with the button
Answer:
Thanx,
I should be getting it soon in the mail, cause i got it from ebay.
Thanx for your advice,
Noah
Answer:
I have found a good starting point is to have all knobs pointing straight up and tweak from there. To use the tap tempo function, hold the pedal down for two seconds, tap your tempo, then hold it down again, it's really simple to use. If you want to reset it, just turn the mode knob to a different setting and then back.

Quite simple... yet not as simple and quick as on the Echo Park
I agree with Dave... a good starting point is with all the knobs straight up. From there, get used to adjusting the mix / level of the echoes.

Thanx everyone! You've been a great help! Let me know if you have anymore suggestions. In october i'm getting a phaser, flanger, tremelo, and maybe an eq. I think i'm gonna get all of them by boss but do you guys have any suggestions?
Thanx,
Noah

Answer:
MXR Phase 90 or EHX Small Stone for Phaser, pretty much the staple phaser sounds. I'm not a big fan of flanger, so I can't help you too much, maybe a Boss BF-3? For trem, I just got an EHX pulsar on ebay, so I'm just waiting for it. It's a pretty versatile trem, but there are about a billion great ones out there for around $100. For EQ, the standard seems to be the Boss GE-7, but the Dano Fish and Chips has a pretty good reputation, and it's very inexpensive.
As for the DD-6, I put the Level and Regen knobs to about 11 o'clock, and set the time/mode knobs to taste. A subtle reverse delay can make clean passages sound very mysterious.....

Thanx for the advice. Everyone seems to think line 6 are the greatest thing ever but i tried some out and they didn't seem that great.
