ok where do i put a wah wah in my pedal setup
Question: should it go first or last or in the middle would like to know. Answer: From what I read it should go first right after a volume pedal if you got one if not first. If your usinga comppresor also it can go either before or somewere after the wah. Cause all tone enhance effects should go first aka overdrives, dist wah. From what I've read thats what I've gotten out of it. Answer: wahs usually go first http://www.robertkeeley.com/faq.php#Effect%20Order Answer: Thats the main use, but yuo can put any pedal anywhere you like, just as long as it sounds good to ya . I have herad that Jimi Hendrix had his fuzz face before his wah... Answer: I always try to follow the Wah with a compressor though. Some of the volumes it reaches when it starts to get into the high frequencies can be ear piercing. Answer: oh sorry i forgot to tell you my pedal setup i have boss SD1, boss DS1, Electroharmonix big muff, Digitech phaser, and chorus, and boss TU2. and there it is. Answer: With that line up I'd definitely put the wah first. You might want to think about putting a volume pedal in there somewhere... very handy for playing in church where you may have to drop your volume quickly. I use an Ernie Ball Jr volume pedal that has a tuner out so that my tuner is not in my effects chain. I like my volume pedal in the effects loop so it isn't reducing the signal to the amp's preamp stage. Answer: With my set up I often put my wah after everything (except my eq). Makes for a nice effect when playing chords while using the wah.
