Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

Ok, lets see...

Question:
OK, I got a birthday coming up and I am trying to decide what I want/need for my setup.

I got a ESP Ltd guitar, and I am very happy with it, and I have a Fender Ultimate chorus amp, I am also happy with this.

Here is my setup

Ernie ball JR volume pedal
Boss TU-2 tuner
Vintage Rat
Boss SD-1 Super overdrive
Boss TR-2 Tremolo
Boss DD-6 Delay
Boss DS-1 Distortion(I think it's crap, I don't ever use it)
Ebow

So currently that's my setup.

I am thinking about getting:

1. Wireless guitar kit http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...e_pid/276510X/

2. Wah pedal(not sure which one)

3. USB hub, for recording music to my computer
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/701368/

So my questions are...

1. If in my situation(current setup), what would you get? (out of the three choices)

2. If in my situation(current setup), what would you get? (anything, not just the three choices)

3. What is a good not very pricey wah pedal?

So if yall would like to help me out, it would be appreciated, thanks.

I'd get the recording gear, but that's just beacuse I do a ton of recording, and not having recording gear would be bad for me (however, I use analog recording gear, not the digital USB stuff). I'd do wah pedal.

New amp. Ultimate chorus is not my cup-o-tea. I'd get a wah.

There are the Crybabys, Voxes, and Morleys. I have a Morley, but I like both the Morleys and the Voxes. Voxes sound more "vintagey", IMO. Morley sounds more "modern" (smooth sweep, sweep favors the high end).

Ya you don't know how many times I have wanted a new amp. But actually it's pretty nice. But I haven't really played with alot of amps, so I wouldn't really know. It was made in like 1992, and I bought it used two years ago. But I don't really have the money for a new amp, hehe.

My friend has a Vox, and I played it, but I didn't really like it. It didn't have a knob or anything, and when I would turn it on it would boost the volume so much that it was annoying. But that may have just been his Vox, or my setup. But I want one with some kinda of versatily.

So either recording or Wah?? Hmmmm.... Wireless doesn't make me sound any better, just a luxury, hehe.

The more expensive Morleys have even more knobs...I like mine how it is but you may look into those.

I like Morleys better than Vox or Crybaby, but that's just personal preference. Definately see if you can try one out first.
Answer:
I'd get an original Crybaby, or VOX, over the recording kit...though Id love to have the recording kit..
Anything? new amp...get a half stack. Guitar Research has a 4x8 with head, closed back, for $219 on Sam Ash.
Answer:
I'd do the wah pedal. I know how to work well with my analog systems, and they work for me a lot better. I do a lot of solo recording, recording with my two other bands, and so on, and I use a Behringer UB1204 mixer with my computer's soundcard. Computer stock soundcards aren't the optimum choice for digital recording, but it works decently if you're working with decent analog gear. If you get the recording stuff, remember you're gonna want more then just the USB unit.
Answer:
What else am I gonna need besides a USB unit??? Besides a audio program to mix and edit tracks...
Answer:
some kind of interface would be good. the tascam us112 would work for you. i use an mbox.

Answer:
Mics, cables, various adaptors, it actually depends on how much recording you're gonna be doing. If you're just gonna be plugging your amp into that box, I personally think a much cheaper idea would be to just plug it right into your soundcard.
hehehehehehehehehehe.... i have an evil number of posts....

Gotcha. I am actually looking Tascam Us-122 which also has MIDI so I can connect my keyboard. I can get mics and cables, or borrow them from church, so that really isnt a problem.

it might be cheaper, but a decent USB post is alot better because it'll have the necessary knobs and such to regulate the sound.

Ah. Well, that's something that I figure I don't need, so each to his own I guess.
