Question: what is the "Key" of jazz? and which scales do i use? i know its a number of them, so do jazz guitarists often mix them up and intertwine scales? Answer: Yes. Answer: Jazz is more keys and scales mixed up in more ways than you've probably ever concieved of. Most often, the jazz player will think in terms of a different scale every measure or two. Sometimes play right out out-of-scale notes... besides they're gonna be in the scale in a couple beats anyway. Which scales do you use? The real question is which scales don't you use... If you have an answer, tell me, 'cause I can't think of any. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
