(Part 1) Closing Song - Salvation Is Here Man, those are some great song choices. Anyway, this week was: Undignified You Are Holy Holy Is The Lord My Savior, My God How Great Is Our God I sliced my index finger sometime either during Holy Is The Lord or My Savior My God. I looked down and I just thought I had shredded a pick (which was red) but after My Savior My God I looked at my hand and there was blood all over my fingers and there was blood all over the guitar and strings. How Great Is Our God was very painful, to say the least. The worst part was that it wasn't my guitar....I had to go clean it off in the bathroom which took a bit. Answer: For our Fifth Sunday Sing: For All The Saints (E) Above All (A) Breathe (A) Blessed Be Your Name (*; A) Praise You In This Storm (D) It Is Well (D) I Surrender All (D) Rock Of Ages (Pocta; D) The Old Rugged Cross (D) At The Cross (D) When I Survey (D) King Of Glory (D) Sing To The King (D) Amazing Grace (G) * = We play this song too much and it's too simple of a song to do it the same way for so long. We're going to try it in a slow, sort of smooth jazz arrangement in 3/4 with the following chord progression: Dmaj9 - E7sus4 - F#m11 - Eadd9/G# [Amaj7 last beat]. The verses will be the part that will sound the most different, as each line will be extended (think the original melody, except the last word of each phrase held out: "Blessed be Your Naaaaaaaaame..... in the land that is plentifuuuuuuul.... etc" Answer: Originally Posted by Nate * = We play this song too much and it's too simple of a song to do it the same way for so long.
