I question....

Question:
I am writing/recording this song to play in the background of a video at church. In the intro it starts in 6/8. then in the verse it constantly switches from 6/8 to 2/4. It sounds pretty awsome to me, but I am very musical. Do you think it will be problem to people that arn't musical to hear it? I mean like will they be like "does this guy has no idea what he is doing?"
Answer:
I personally would have to hear how you're transitioning those meter changes. Is it like a waltz type feel moving to straight time, or a straight 6 to straight 2? (Course, if it was a straight 6 it'd have to be 6/4, right? Or can you do a straight 6/8?)
Answer:
Yes it really depends. Get us a clip for referance. Otherwise... I would just care what 'musical' people thought, and I think it'll work. Again, get us a clip.
Answer:
Chances are they won't notice the music at all. But as far as meter is concerned, if it's not an awkward transition, then most people won't notice the meter at all.
Answer:
well, I don't have a metrenome or drummer right now, so the switches might be a little off, but I will try to get a clip of it on tomarow night.
