up beat songs
Question: Do you belong to a church where you use "upbeat songs" and people dance to them? If so, what are they? Answer: In my year and a half at my current church we've never had anyone dance as far as I know but one song, "I am Free", set a couple people out running up and down the aisles, I'm assuming inspired by the Spirit of God and by the line in the song "I am free to run". So there you go. Answer: Yes, but only a few people so far. "Free to Dance," "My God Reigns," "Our Love Is Loud." Once when folks started "dancing" during a song, I slipped in the riff from "Stayin' Alive." I don't think folks appreciated the humor. That is priceless!!!! not sure if i'd try it though.... our church would probably like it... Answer: undignified is danced to at my friends church, every move i make at my other church in the youth room, i always wanna dance to delirious songs Answer: Our Love is Loud, The Happy Song, Every Move I Make, Undignified, and The Flowery Song. Moshing during praisetime it awesome! Peace out! Answer: Whoa, whoa, whoa...Moshing during praise time? Answer: We played Praise You With the Dance (by Casting Crowns) in youth group not too long ago. During the fiddle-turned-guitar solo, people started square dancing (kind of--we're New Yorkers, give us a break). We also play I'll Fly Away in a very Charlie Daniels/country hoedown kind of way. That one turned into a country/square-dance/mosh of sorts. Answer: yes, moshing, ok maybe not all out moshing. Just dancing crazily and undignified. the word mosh might be too extreme of an word. lol , but it gives praise and worship to God, right? Answer: my church is not there yet.....but it's coming soon. in youth group, its almost there, but the kids need to learn the mentality of coming to church with the fire already inside as opposed to go in there and get filled up. i prefer the previous, and i noticed it spreads. Answer: i never been to a sunday service where people start dancing to the music but i mostly see those in Praise nights. the room is dark and the instruments are really loud so alot of people start to go all crazy Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
