Question:
I really love the poem "Footsteps in the sand", and felt inspired to write a song around the theme (see below). The song is called "I never left your side".
My question is this... does anyone know of other examples of scripture that has been turned into both poetry and song?
I think it would make a wonderful and inspiring collection, to publish examples of original scripture alongside a poem and song which spring out of it.
Does anyone know if this has been done?
If not, perhaps we could compile such a thing here.

There are plenty of songs based on poetry based on Scripture. Check out Shane and Shane, for instance.
The reason I replied, however, is to inform you that "Footprints In The Sand" is not based on Scripture.
It may have Scriptural themes, I guess, but it's not even close to being "based" on any Scriptural texts.
