30 Pieces of Silver

Question:
Verse 1:
I look in your eyes
At the tears you shed
I can here all the cries
Of all the people sad
Pre-Chorus:
I can't believe I did such a terrible thing
I betrayed the one
The one I love
Chorus:
I betrayed him for only 30 pieces of silver
He had shown us love that can't be bought
Verse 2:
I can see the
The dripping down your face
In your eyes I can see your love
Your love and grace

Tell me if it sounds good, correct me on it, and also put up guitar tabs for it. The guitar tabs can be distorted, clean, or both.
Answer:
It's cool I guess but I have one or two questions:
"I betrayed him for only 30 pieces of silver"
But you didn't....Judas did. True, Jesus's blood is on all our hands, just as the crowed shouted before the crucifixion, but that doesn't change the fact that you were not born. Think about the whole thing with making yourself Judas...you didn't literally betray Jesus.

Answer:
I have to disagree with jjvacc. Comparing yourself with Judas is the strongest part of this song. The chorus for this song is great. The rest of it is not, sorry to say. I would suggest extending the Judas metaphor. Take a closer look at what it says about Judas in the Bible. You could even make reference to his eventual suicide, or what Jesus said to him at the last supper.
Answer:
Looks good. Follow the Judas thing a little more, doesn't need to be extreemly direct. Just something about wasted life or couldn't get a refund.
Answer:
I'd stay away from the idea of a "wasted life" as it's overdone and cliché, but the idea of not being able to get a refund from the pharisees could work.
