Close To Those

Question:
Close To Those Written by Jessica Scott 2003
Verse 1
Back in the day
when things were gay
Thought nothing could go wrong
but then it dropped like a bomb
boom boom
It had been announced
something so bad it can be pernounced
Pastor Jeff left
I became depressed
the pain in my heart
grew up the charts
like a best selling album
i didn't think i could live without him
that was the beginning
of my horrid sinning
Chorus
the lord is close to those who's hearts are breaking
the lord is close to those who's hearts are breaking
the lord is near those who's world has been torn in two
the lord is close to those who's hearts are breaking
Verse 2
My life changed
I didn't know if i would ever be the same
when i thought it was over
i lost my four leaf colver
my luck ran out
i wanted to shout
Lord where are you
cant you see
I'm living in misery
Then i learned that everybody has their ups and downs
so i decided to get my feet back on the solid ground
it has a good sound dont it
doesn't mean that i won it
I had a long way to go
before it would show
I had to learn that
Chorus
Verse 3
Finally we got a new pastor
my cry out for god got even faster
a month after he came he did a sermon on the lost
i relearned about the cost
that jesus paid for me on the cross
i recommitted my life to him
the holy spirit lives deep with in
me heart
the memories and scars are still there
but I know that some one cares
I can say that
Chorus
This song is a rap that i wrote containing some things that happened when i was 11 to 14. it has a little bit of my testamony in it.
Answer:
as i was reading it I was wondering how a melody would fit this, but then I saw it was a rap. I like the chorus, it's got a good hook. and the "boom boom" in the virst verse is pretty gangster.
