I want to do a song for CGR member XBrokenXHeartX (Brittney). /forum...3&page=1&pp=15 /forum...d.php?t=118932 This song should be full of hope. Answer: What about the lyrics we will need for the song we are currently writing? I thing we should have open source writing for this. Allow the Song lyric writing to be open and subject to change from EVERYONE on CGR...why not? Answer: Originally Posted by ImOnFire What about the lyrics we will need for the song we are currently writing? Well, we currently don't know the tempo or mood of the chord progression, but these lyrics might fit, who knows? Do you think it's best to write lyrics for music or write music to lyrics? I thing we should have open source writing for this. Allow the Song lyric writing to be open and subject to change from EVERYONE on CGR...why not? Everyone on CGR? Then I suppose you'd allow everyone on CGR to post a part in the music discussion thread? It doesn't sound that cool to me. How you define a band is this small group of people who write lyrics and music for others to hear. Not tens of people. CGR is big, so there would be so many different opinions that it would take a really long time to finalize a work. Again, it would be pretty crowded. I don't think this is the only eband that CGR is going to see. Impossible. Though this is the first one after 5 years which is weird, I don't know why. This eband consists of just you, Rainer, ID, Sazzy, and I. If anyone wants to write songs together with others, they would form their own eband, correct? We could certainly use feedback and advice from people, but I don't think we want to completely open-source it. -Sazzy Answer: I just found out that XBrokenXHeartX doesn't exist and it's a hoax. I'm really mad now. Answer: Originally Posted by ~FreT~ I just found out that XBrokenXHeartX doesn't exist and it's a hoax. I'm really mad now. Hey, there are plently of people that that is entirely real for. Why not right a song for all of them... Write songs from experiences..its what I do. Also, when I have the lyrics...I write music to it.. But more often, I write the music first, then write the lyrics to that. Answer: Oh, and about the lyrics.. I guess you are right about that then... We all need to write some lyrics then... I'll see what I can do...usually when I try to write something I get creative block..I hate that. Answer: So um, readers of this thread, we're now mainly focusing on the musical stuff on songs. So you won't see much action here in a couple of weeks. Answer: Check this out guys: /forum...06&postcount=3 We might use it for final scores. The two song lyrics are at home right now so I'll post them when I get back home. I have that downloaded on my computer... Only thing is...if you don't buy the upgrades and everything, you must score your music by hand. Well, that might not be a problem for us... I know you can do it, and I know I can do it...and I bet everyone else can probally do it. I've been using Finale Notepad for quite a while. It's a decent program for writing simple scores. The playback is alright for straghtfoward instruments, stinks for drums, synths, and such. No time changes, key changes or such are allowed. Answer: Originally Posted by Rainer. I've been using Finale Notepad for quite a while. It's a decent program for writing simple scores. I worked with Saz on that one. I wrote the first one kind of for my friend. I thought a close relative of her's died, but I just found out it was only her dog... Answer: Actually, the first one may be better to some people... like Mark. Anyway, Mark is going to write a piano part for Passing Storm today. Yay. And I'll also edit the lyrics in the afternoon.
