Looking for specific type of begginner's song/piece.
Question: Ok... I'm looking for a piece of music that is great and fun to play... It needs to have ONLY 2 string power chords and leads that fall under the same catagories. Any ideas for great rock/heavy rock/ heavy metal pieces in this area? PLEASE NO PIECES WITH TECHNIEQUES OTHER THAN DOWNSTROKES IN IT, AND NO HYBRID PICKING PIECES... nothing but easy downstroke picks using my pick. All I've found thus far in the "beginners songs" tabs is advanced ****.... Answer: I've heard of one called "Here we go to the zoo." It's commonly published in many beginning lesson books, both for piano and guitar. A true classic. Nate Answer: It seems that I forgot to mention they need to be hard/classic rock, or heavy (classic) metal. Answer: Bro, if those are the stipulations that Ya absolutly MUST have, why not just write Yer own songs? Personally, i don't play anything that simple!!! bobby Answer: I really don't know of any great songs that are like that. I'm still thinking the heavy metal version of "Here we go to the zoo." That would be freakin' awesome. Two chords (I and V in any key), just down-strums and NO hybrid picking. Oh, another one I thought of - one of my daughter's favorites. It's called "Rock-a-bye Baby" I think it only has two chords, and if you heavy-metalize it, I think it would sound super. It also has the advantage of being very recognizeable as it is a very well-known folk song. But it doesn't have be played folk style, does it? Nate Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
