Cliche title, hopefully not cliche lyrics... Jaded (RC)

Question:
This is probably strophic, although the final verse might serve as a refrain between the first pair of verses and the second pair...
Jaded, jaded like a dime store burglar,
Stealing from his mom and pop
Because Uncle Sam took his bread away.
Jaded, jaded like a back-pew junkie,
Ashamed to even be seen there,
But even more afraid to leave.
Jaded, jaded like a washed-up rock star,
Trying to hide the simple fact
That he can't give his songs away.
Jaded, jaded like an old street preacher,
Tired of all of the evils
Of the world he's dying to leave.
Jaded, jaded like everyone I've ever known,
Everyone, that is, except for You,
Because You shine like a jasper, not a jade.
Revelations 21:10-11
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
Thoughts?
Answer:
The only thing I have against it is the final stanza is a little....gechish and that it doesn't rhyme. Neither of which is required to have a good song.
There's something dreadfully unsubtle about the final stanza, but that said, the whole song is pretty unique writing style. This is good stuff, good stuff indeed. I like it.

Answer:
unfortunately, yes. I think the devil is in the details--I.E, in the wording, not in the shining as of a jasper instead of jade.
Answer:
Are we talking about the fifth and final stanza? The Scripture in italics isn't part of the song; just an inspiration.
I'm not very fond of it, either.
Answer:
The only critique that I can really think of is while the stanzas are all good, the song seems to get repetitive by the end. But for I know it could work really well set to the right music, it's just kind of hard to call on paper.

Yes, the final stanza. I do like the song very much.
Answer:
You know, this would make a good rap song. But I have a dumb question. What is the
song about?

It's about being pissed off at the world, but realizing that I have no right to be because I am co-heirs with Christ to an inheritance that is incorruptible and imperishable laid up in heaven for me.
Answer:
I have a question. I wrote the question like 5 minutes ago and got a reply in like 1
minute. How did I get the reply so quickly?

Because CGR is my lifeblood.
Answer:
So you just stare at the computer and wait to see if the number of replies gets
higher?(I also use CGR like a maniac)!
Answer:
You've just described my life to a T.
Answer:
You reply so quickly, it is like a chat room!( Not that I chat or anything).
