hey! I really like singing, playing my guitar, and writing songs, but the problem is: I don't know how to get it all started. It's kind'a boring sitting there all alone. There is no one at this place that can play songs and write them together with me, so what do I do??? I really need some help!!

well if it's lyrics you want to get started with, if you haven't wriiten any before i suggest writing out an idea you get for a song and then write words or other ideas that support it. the trick will be trying to tie them together, but if you if God is with you and you're really determined you should have your first lyrics done soon. after awhile though you'll be able to organize your thoughts without writing them down first and you'll just be spuing out songs like crazy. hope this helps, as always God bless.

If your having trouble writing lyrics, like Resonator said get your ideas together. Write all the thoughts you have concerning that idea onto paper. It won't be poetic at the time, but you need to see what your thinking, and as you do that you'll be able to put the pieces together into song.

thanks for the backup Eriol. yeah i think it will help, my first 15 songs i wrote like that. i sometimes still need to for songs i have trouble finishing or even reworking one i already finished. and now i have 161 songs under my belt. they may or may not be good but they express the ideas i meant for them. and that's what counts. Have a tune made up already. That will help you in writing the right words and amount and have a good flow to your song. Yeah, prayer is a big thing. If you think God has given you an idea, write it down then pray over it. That's how God gives me sermons. He'll give me an idea and then I look it up in the Bible.

also, next time you hear somthing you like [like in a sermon, a quote from someone..] then right down your thoughts or feeling tward it and turn it into a song..thats what i do
