New Church in San Diego seeks Worship Leader / Musicians
Question: LifePoint Christian Community is a new church plant that will launch September 11, 2005 in the Mission Valley area of San Diego. We are a non-denominational church with a special focus on reaching postmoderns using a variety of creative forms. We are the first San Diego plant of Stadia:New Church Strategies. We are actively looking for San Diego-based musicians who are drawn to the idea of building a new church community from scratch. Musically, we will be along the lines of David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Vineyard ... or Jack Johnson for some of the braver souls. We have grown from an initial launch group of 7 adults to somewhere between 20-30. These are some of the instruments we would love to have in the band:

We have formed a good, basic band with electric, bass, and drums. Our grand opening is this Sunday (September 11) at 9:00 and 10:45. We're gathering on Sunday mornings at 4698 Alvarado Canyon, Suite A. God bless! We're returning to San Diego after leaving here in 1996. Back in those days, we were in the acappella Churches of Christ. We made the switch to rock and roll in 2001 and are non-denominational Christian Church. Of course ... you might be thinking of the Ken Hensley who played with Uriah Heep. Not him. Haha...funny how denomination equates to musical style. Truly enough, though. Answer: Originally Posted by kenhensley We're returning to San Diego after leaving here in 1996. My senior pastor did the same thing - went from the non-instrumental Church of Christ to the very-instrumental Church of Crowder. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
