Best song lyrically written

Question:
What is your favorite song just because of the lyrics????
Answer:
i'm moving this out of cpf...mods, feel free to move to where ya'll think is best...
Answer:
Ah, it looks good here.
At the moment, it'd be Pyramid Song by Radiohead, or Climbing Up The Walls by the same.
Answer:
World's apart by Jars of Clay, always will be my favorite song, honesty just bleeds from that song. Also, portrait of an apology from Jars as well, or any other jars song.
Answer:
"Numb" by Project 86 is an incredible song lyrically. I also really like "Lateralis" by Tool and "Brena" by APC
Answer:
Heya,
I really really really like "When God Ran" (I think the dude from Shaded Red wrote it.. not sure though)..
Answer:
derek webb and aaron tate from caedmons call write some amazing lyrics but my all time favorite is meeking by the refreshments
Answer:
I know I'll probably get bashed for this but...
Our Lady Peace- Innocent
this song is just so cool.
"oh, and johnny's wishin' he was famous
spends his time alone in the basement
with Lennon and Cobain and
a guitar and a stereo"
oh it's good.

Answer:
What? That's probably the least well written OLP song ever. Don't get me wrong, I like the song, but it's not well written. I would say 4AM by OLP. Oh well...
Answer:
Yeah, 4 am is my fav Olp song, made to heal is good by them too.
Answer:
.....like I said. But you're probably right. Maybe I was thinking more of the dynamics of the song anyhow. I haven't heard anything but Gravity. I just bought it because I liked "somewhere out there" and it is just a cool cd.
Josh
P.S.- some of vertical horizon's older acoustic stuff is awesome lyrically and musically.
Answer:
Do yourself a favor and find some of their older stuff. Gravity, while good, is probably their worst album to date.
Answer:
Right now I'd say Photograph by Weezer...mainly because it speaks to me a lot about what I'm going through/have just been though.
"And though my heart would break,
There's more that I could take."
Also Suckerpunch by Bowling for Soup and Pressing On and Down in Flames by Relient K...
Those are off the top of my head right now :P
Answer:
I would have to say:
Stein's Theme (Drawing Black Lines) and Soma (Truthless Heroes) by Project 86...any questions?
Answer:
one of my favorites is 'for what it's worth' by dogwood. it's sort of simple, but the words are an awesome expression of worship. do or die is great too. the best song is probably (for me anyways) 'please don't let it end' by freeto boat. it's awesome.
God bless,
neighter
