I'm not sure I have any ideas for you other than the simple one that's been offered up already: (church name) praise team
I'm somewhat philosophically against formal names for church praise bands, though, but that's not (yet) what this thread is about, so I won't go into why yet.

Answer:
traditionally (from what i've seen) church praise teams never get named beyond (church) praise team...unless it's a youth group team, because internally i think they want to feel more like a band...and even then, when the praise team i was on (in youth group) had a name, no one ever used it, not even us. we were just "the praise team" or "the band" or something generic like that.
Answer:
"Sir Gustafson MacGregor and His Merry Band of Funkadelic Hooligans!"
This works best if your name is, in fact, Gustafson MacGregor.
Btw, if you use this name I will claim royalties on all future SGMHMBFH worship performances.

The *lead singers name* Band
that'd be a little commercial sounding...

Answer:
Our name is Straight Across. That probably won't help you, though, 'cause it's built on our last name.

Both clever, and meaningful on so many levels...

I know. I love it. I only wish that I could take credit for it. Our music minister came up with it for us on the night that we "auditioned" for her.

Answer:
The thing is, we're not all from the same church. So we couldn't do the "(church name) praise team". We are not a Christian band, but a worship team. A band and a worship team are two different things. We just need some sort of a name. I'm not into the whole commercializing praise and worship, but we just need a name for the worship team, for example: whenever we are scheduled to play at a place..the name they'll have us listed as. This is the only reason I want the worship team to have a name.
Answer:
Maybe find a scripture verse/concept that you all value and want to take as your mission/key verse, and shape your band name off of that?
A worship band I used to play with in high school went by the acronym ROCK-Reflections on Christ's Kingdom (I think)
