Question: Hope you don't me getting this list started. I was looking forward to it and it wasn't up yet. February 27/05 Prelude: Today (instrumental) Welcome/Prayer Today (vocal) Not Be Shaken Scripture Blessed Be Your Name Release the Children to their programs Video Clip about Precepts Bible Studies Interview re: Upcoming Kay Arthur Conference Pastoral Prayer Offering Everlasting Sermon It Is Well with my Soul Next Events Benevolent Offering Our Heart, Our Desire (poss. Chorus only) Dismissed Answer: Whoever's first to start it is always welcome to, March. In fact, you can make it your responsibility if you want. Not Be Shaken: Does your congregation sing this one? I think it's a lot of fun, but it hasn't gone over that well as a congregational song for us. Answer: There's two with similar titles. We sing both. Not Be Shaken goes like this: "I will declare my choice to the nations..." and Shaken is like this: "My sould finds rest in you...." We use both as congregational worship tunes. The second one is especially loved in our Recovery Ministry. Answer: Not Be Shaken has gone over well in our congregation. We used to do it a lot more than we have lately though. This week: Make A Joyful Noise/I Will Not Be Silent *Message Part 1 Audience Of One *Message Part 2 Take My Life (Holiness) Once Again Beautiful Scandalous Night *Communion Give Us Clean Hands Answer: Well, we're going to have a VERY interesting Sunday. I just got an updated schedule and everything has been moved around and all kinds of stuff, so... I'm just gonna put the songs we're playing instead of the Order. The Power of Your Love - E/F# One Desire - E I Adore - E/A Draw Me Close (chorus only, supposedly) - A The invitation will be "My Heart, Your Home" in D. Answer: Heheh... We had a different kind of youth service this week. It was our "Doubles Night" where everyone had to bring a friend or face the consequences (some mild humiliation). So, since we were gonna have all kinds of new kids attending, we had our worship team learn some clean secular songs to play... just to have a good time. So... we did: (All the) Small Things - Blink 182 No Such Thing - John Mayer Angel Wings - Love song by our worship leader Sadie Hopkins Dance - Relient K It was a blast and everyone just had a great time. Answer: We were going to do Let My Words Be Few, The Heart Of Worship, Breathe, Above All, and Shout To The Lord but alas, my classmates (the singers) said they didn't know/didn't like the songs. Bah, pooey on them. -Kenny Answer: PDL, Week 5 - Ministry: You were shaped for God's service Be Thou My Vision (Eb-Bb YIKES!) - sung by a few members of the youth group Welcome/Announcements/Scripture Reading/Invocation Fun video thing taped last week by the youth group Use Me (F) Take My Life And Let It Be (F) Sermon: You were shaped for God's service Invitation: I Surrender All (D) Offertory: Love Constraining To Obedience (D) In His love, Nate Answer: Not Be Shaken has gone over well in our congregation. We used to do it a lot more than we have lately though. yeah i know what you mean, its a real fun song, but the ppl in our congregation aren't familiar with the shouting part when it goes "i will shout for joy in the congregation" lol o well.. So, since we were gonna have all kinds of new kids attending, we had our worship team learn some clean secular songs to play... just to have a good time. lol that's so cool! In my very last argument with my former employer - he was asking me why I prepared and planned so much when all he did when he had to lead worship at his former church when he was a youth minister was give them sheets of music he copied out of the songbook, and they would just play them. I told him that you could do that if you didn't want to put any effort into it, but that's where he and I disagree. I then said, "You have to prepare some. I mean, you don't want to have a song in Eb and then the next song jump to Bb or anything, that would be crazy." And now you're doing it in the same song.
