Revolve (RC)
Question: This is something I was working on lately- its really spacey sounding, and I'll see if I can eventually get a MIDI or something up for viewing. ~Revolve~ The repetitive motion of the way things are Is taking it's toll on my soul The perpetual atmosphere that takes my heart Has saturated the coals that make me whole Astoundingly true; my heart's in shreds I pray to the floor cuz my heart is dead I'm counting on you to guide my steps As I walk out the door of this spaceship! Chorus: Revolve around me! Revolve so I can see! Revolve around me! Revolve! No better place to be! Yeah! Verse 2: Everything that surrounds me is a shred of the past They reflect everything that pains me World by world, the universe flies by Thank God for the King who sustains me! I'm a satellite flung around this dread of earth! (I'm a spaceship blasting off through the stratosphere!) I'm a speck of light compared to your matchless worth! (I'm a spaceman exploring worlds to cast your name out there!) Chorus: Revolve around me! Revolve so I can see! Revolve around me! Revolve! No better place to be! Yeah! Verse 3: This spiritual low is hanging over my head, An abhorent fiend, it devours me This discordant flow- the way I think is dead I'm on bended knee, but your spirit will see... That I'm willingly, (so desperately!) Praying to see (I'm praying to be!) This world turns too fast (I spin through the past!) This shuttle won't last flying with pains amassed! Chorus: Revolve around me! Revolve so I can see! Revolve around me! Revolve! No better place to be! Yeah! Bridge x2: I'm a satellite flung around this dread of earth! (I'm a spaceship blasting off through the stratosphere!) I'm a speck of light compared to your matchless worth! (I'm a spaceman exploring worlds to cast your name out there!) Repeat Chorus Twice Outro: The repetitive motion of the way things are Is losing it's toll on my soul The perpetual atmosphere that took my heart Has inspired the coals that make me whole Faith: the lighter of my soul Hope: the keeper of my flames Pain: the seeds that sew more trust in You: the revolution of that ordinary Life... Please RC ruthlessly! Answer: I really aint a person to do the RC stuff, but I like it!!!=) Just a question though is this upbeat or more of a slow song? Answer: Originally Posted by Fatherladd I really aint a person to do the RC stuff, but I like it!!!=) Just a question though is this upbeat or more of a slow song? Its slow, but kinda fast in a weird way; I ought to have a MIDI up soon if I get a program in that I ordered in time (I sorta made a MIDI with the free trial but I can do more stuff with the registered version.) If you have tabit ( www.tabit.net ), then you can Right-click and save this if you just can't wait a day or so : www.phil-con.com/Revolve.tbt . It doesn't include the lead part (or harmony, lol), but it includes the bass and harmony riff, the rythm part, and a cool spacey MIDI guitar-strumming effect! Also, if you just so happen to have the full version of the program, tell me if the drums work good with it (I can't hear them in the free-trial! ) Enjoy! Answer: I can't hear the drums, i have the trial also. just wondering, have you ever tried the powertab? It works a lot better if you ask me. more things to use, and it has the notes and the rhythm is easier and better. Its at www.powertab.net i think. Its free and In my opinion way better than tabit. And oh yeah i liked the midi, but it could be a little better, like the muted part though. Fatherladd Answer: Alright, I'll work on the MIDI. Though the link just took me to some search site about guitars . R u sure that it's right? Answer: No this is it. http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php Trust me this a lot better. Answer: Alrighty, I tried it out, and it's too complex! GAAHH! I enjoy the simplicity that Tabit has, and plus Tabit can use every MIDI sound, while Powertab relies on 1 or maybe 2 for the bass, unfortunately . Tabit is nice for song composing in general if you like to use tablature. Thx for the advice, though! The part with the strumming is supposed to be like a synthesizer effect, like a modulated scratch noise, if you know what I'm talking about; while I hear the intro scratchy thing in my head, I can almost imagine a guy in a spacesuit stepping out of the spaceship (lol, thats a line I used) and floating in space above the Earth, you know? Like it gives an empty spacey feeling (and then fills it up with lots of flaming guitars!) Thx again for the comment, keep on RCing people! Philipe Answer: Hey guys, I have an awesome recording up! Check it out! (Although I could reeeaaaaalllly do better on the vocals, lol) Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
