Special Song for "Commitment Sunday"
Question: I am part of a church start. We began in November and are running 120 people in worship so far. We are doing a service on the week before Palm Sunday for everyone who has been attending to "join". I am the leader of the music program. We have a full, and very capable band. We also will have a small ensemble (kinda like a gospel choir) ready by that point. I have a great female vocalist who is capable of classical though Cece. What can you think of that is a little out of the ordinary that fits the theme of commitment or gathering that would be a stand out and special tune? Thanks for the help. Answer: One pops into my head, I can't remember the author. I know it's called "As we Pray", kind of a gathering theme. "We are called to be a people of prayer... of ferverent petition, compassion and care..." "Oh God, hear the cry of the people, Oh God, as we call on Your name..." Answer: We are the Champions - Queen Pat D Answer: OK...so I felt I needed to post the decision. We are going with I WILL BE THE ONE by Babbie Mason. I think it will be really sweet. It is a really good vocal match for our soloist. As an aside, have you ever tried to search Kazaa for Babbie Mason? Hehe...it is a fruitless effort. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
