Top 5 Songs You Introduced In Worship This Year (2004)

Question:
Or, if you aren't the worship pastor, the top five new songs you liked playing, singing, etc. this year.
For me, in no particular order:
1. All The Earth Will Sing Your Praises - Paul Baloche
I'm not the biggest fan of Baloche's stuff, he does pretty decent stuff for the Maranatha/Integrity lovers out there, but this song rocked.
2. King - Tree63
Very catchy, great message, and our congregation liked singing it.
3. Nothing But The Blood - Matt Redman
Great, great song. Especially when we threw in the introduction from Mayonnaise by Smashing Pumpkins as the intro.
4. O Worship The King - Passion Hymns
I don't know why, I just like this song. We do it pretty much the way it's on the Passion Hymns CD.
5. Breathing The Breath - Matt Redman
Perhaps this should go on this year's list, since we started doing it December 26th of last year, but I really, really like this song. And I've had more comments about this song than any other.
Honorable mention: Facedown by Matt Redman, All For You by Starfield, The Way by Telecast, Your Grace Is Enough by Chris Tomlin
Answer:
I didn’t lead very often last year, but my favorite songs we did that were new to our congregation were:
1) Your Great Name We Praise – a contemporary arrangement of the hymn Immortal Invisible by Bob Kauflin of Sovereign Grace Ministries. The band loved to play this one.
2) Rescue – a 2002 song by Jared Anderson, recorded on Integrity’s Desperation: Live Worship for a Desperate Generation. The praise team did this as a special. Powerful.
3) Gloria Emmanuel – a choral piece published by Brentwood, featured in Song Discovery 47, also used as special number. Nice feel in B minor.

I'm with you on:
All The Earth Will Sing Your Praises
and
O Worship The King
to that I'll add:
Romans 12:1 Todd Agnew
This God, He Is Our God Tommy Walker
Indescribable Chris Tomlin
Answer:
Wow, we did very few new songs last year in my youth group. My favorites of the ones we did would have to be Holy Moment by Matt Redman and Indescribable by Chis Tomlin. I need to do some more new songs this year because the songs we have are beginning to get old. Ok, my list will end up being the top 5 songs that I want to introduce at youth group.

1. King - Tree63
2. Undignified - the David Crowder version from the Lime CD
3. Scary Drifter - Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus
4. Medley - Third Day
5. You Still Amaze Me - Audio A

Did you do it as a choral piece, or as congregational? We had talked about introducing it, but never did.
Um, for us...
You Are Holy (Prince of Peace) - Marc Imboden
Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder - John Newton/Laura Taylor
Show Your Power - Kevin Prosch
Your Name is Holy - Brian Doerksen
God of Wonders - Mark Byrd/Steve Hindalong
Answer:
Well, here's mine:
1 - Make My Life A Prayer to You - Keith Green
Well, this one isin't really new, but it was certainly new to everyone in youth group. LOVE this song.
2 - Healer - Ten Shekel Shirt
Like this one, very meditative.
3 - Arise - Hillsongs (?)
This one was just a ton of fun to play. I really got into it when we did it in service last sunday.
4 - Firm Foundation - ?
Not really a new song, more like re-introduced. Love it to death though.
And that's all the ones I liked, the other ones were a lil iffy...

Answer:
Dude... I can't possibly remember which songs were new to this year and which songs were from last year.
My best guesses (which basically means "songs we played fairly often this year that people seemed to really like, and I seem to recall as being fairly "new" to us) are as follows:

Let Us Love And Sing And Wonder - John Newton / Laura Taylor
Lord, You Have My Heart - Martin Smith (or is this Stuart Girrard?)
In Christ Alone - Stuart Townend
Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman
Beautiful, Scandalous Night - Steve Hindalong / Derri Daugherty
In His love,
Nate

That song, THAT SONG. I love that song. I was going to do it last Sunday when I was given the rare chance to lead worship for the junior high group at my church, but I wussed out and opted for a new arrangement of "Nothing but the Blood of Jesus" I had written. Next time I'm going to do that one, however.
Answer:
Free - Marty Sampson

Answer:
1. One Way by Hillsong United
2. Let this song come forth by the Micah Tawlks band
3. Mercy by the Terry Kelly band
4. Everything by Lifehouse
5. Blessed be Your Name by Matt Redman

I just play guitar, but introduced all but Blessed be Your name to the band, heh. Those are the best we have introduced, we have only introduced few others that went ok, and some that didn't go so well.

Although I added a couple of riffs from Green Day's Basket Case into the song, so maybe that means we reintroduced it in 2004...
Answer:
This past year was cool for me because I got to take over the Sunday night service. In the process I got to bring in some old songs that had never been done there as well as some new ones. Just a handful:

Blessed Be Your Name
I Waited For The Lord On High
Warrior
Beautiful Scandalous Night
Famous One
You Are So Good To Me
Your Love Oh Lord
Sing Alleluia
This World
O Praise Him
Beautiful One
