Fast Songs

Question:
Hey
I am a 17 year old worship leader.
I lead a team of people who leads musical worship at a saturday night service at my church. I am really looking for some new fast songs.
I'm looking for something VERY "rocky". AKA Something with Distortion and Power chords.
Heres the ones we already do
One Way- Joel Houston
God is Great- Marty Sampson
King of Majesty- Marty Sampson
Open up the Gates- Henry Seeley (Planet Shakers)
Blessed Be Your name- Matt Redman (yes we do this VERY fast)
Everyday- Joel Houston
thanks for Your help
Reid
Answer:
as far as fast songs we do...
Beautiful One (we put a loud distorted guitar lead on it works really good)
Now that You're near (the version with the drum intro)
This is how we overcome (we do it with a cool slap-back affect on an organ sound to replace the rythym guitar)
we do several more but those are our best and favorite.
Answer:
My Glorious by Delirious? is my personal favorite. This Fragile Breath by Todd Agnew is good if you just crank the volume up during the chorus.
Answer:
"you are worth of my praise" jeremy camp version
"blessed be your name" tree 63
"he reigns" newsboys
"our love is loud" david crowder
"salvation" chris tomlin
Answer:
hey im 18 and i also lead worship on some friday nights for our youth group and on some sundays for our main services... here are a couple i find work really well:
i second "blessed be your name" it works awesome... specially if when each time you go into the chorus the music pauses (only for a second) then comes in really hard...
also "in the secret place" as done by sonic flood
"open the eyes of my heart" normally people do it slow, but we find it works well fast
"evermore" by Joel Houston... its not heaps fast, but works well
hope they help
Answer:
We usually do a lot of David Crowder stuff. That would fit your bill, I think.
Answer:
"Glory" Casting Crowns
"Life of Praise" Casting Crowns
Answer:
Tree63 - King

I love this song and we're doing it for the first time at youth group on wednesday.
Answer:

Answer:
On top of everything else that's been mentioned:
"Let the Praises Ring" - not sure who does it
"O Praise Him" David Crowder

Soli Deo gloria,
Sean

Answer:
"Undignified"- Matt Redman
"Be Free to Reign"- Scott Cunningham
"Friend of God"- (don't remember the author) don't do the "Next" cd version do the Philips, Craig, and Dean version
"Forever My Heart Will Sing"- Phil Wickham
Answer:
Matt Redman - Dancing Generation
Answer:
Thanx for all your replies
The service I play at wouldn't really be able to Handle great songs like "Undignified" and "Dancing Generation"
Answer:
let the praises ring is by lincoln brewster...he has it on one of cds which the name is slipping out of my head. 722, a branch of Passion, do a live version of the song.
check out "after the music fades" by shaun groves. i think the version at cgr was wrong the last time i checked...email me for the chords if you want to learn the song hyun.john@gmail.com
chris tomlin - indescribable
revolutino cry - jason wade from lifehouse. passion redid this on their sacred revolution cd with steve fee doing it. i think mixing the lifehouse version with the passion version would be awesome.
history maker- delirious
united hillsongs - all day (need a bassist)
that cd with hillsongs and delirious concert is pretty good, even though their older songs, different arrangment and stuff...check it out
i'll have to 2nd, my glorious, now that you're near with the drums and electric intro, the acoustic intro one is fine too but the elec and drum intro adds a new dimension to the song. beautiful one on tim hughes "when silence falls" is really neat with the elec intro then a full bang when the distortion and strumming comes in. not to us and our love is loud are great songs. its a challenge to keep the song at a steady beat, and since both the songs are pretty lengthy, you would need to keep the beat!
hope these help you
Answer:
Needless to say, there's a lot by David Crowder, and Crowder does a few covers of good ones too (check out the Lime CD). You might also want to check out Salvation - Charlie Hall, Joy - Tree63 (see Paul Oakley's version)....there's a nice bit of Paul Oakley stuff out there.
