Need an advice!

Question:
I`ve been playing the keybord in my church for almost 1 year. Well, at first, I was playing it badly because I hadn`t played it for almost 7 years. But day by day that I was practising, I improved, and now I`m playing good. But my leader (he`s like 52 years old) does not admit it.(I think so...) 'cause, in our church we have a piano and a keybord, but he doesn`t want me to play the piano, well, there is another guy that is playing it but he is just playing the melody because he has the sense of absolute pitch. (so he doesn`t need music sheets to play the melody) but he doesn`t know the difference that piano and keybord have. So, he doesn`t care about which is better for him, or wich is better to play, or which sounds better and where he should play the melody...(etc) But my leader told this guy to play in the piano just because he can play the melody...
And I`m playing the accompaniment in the keybord... I would play in the keybord if I knew the melody (with music sheets or so) but I don`t have any sheets of the music that I need because we don`t use sheets of music, we use only chords. My leader thinks that playing the piano is just for those who play the melody, but he`s wrong because the piano doesn`t play always the melody, and if we have a piano and a keybord, I think we should know how to use them together. And when these 2 instruments are playing together the piano should play the ''accompaniment'' and the keybord should play the ''melody'' or something different.
What do you think about this? Am I wrong? How can I tell my leader that he`s wrong? please give me an advice!
In his love

1Pe:2:13: Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
Hello my dear sister !
My name is Dima. I'm bass player in worship band, so we are colleagues
I think you should trust God and have a humility before your leader.
May be he is not right now, but there is the one thing ... he was placed to be a worhip leader by God and God gave him power and wisdom, so i think you can pray for this situation and do your best in your ministry to Jesus by use (using) your gifts.
I will pray for you <><
God bless ...
Answer:
God bless you!
Yeah, you`re right I have to pray more about this and of course, we aren`t always perfect so I have to be patient. And trust in Jesus.
So, I don`t need to talk with him about this yet, right?
Answer:
This sounds like the kinda of situation that you can wait on before talking about it. You may be suprised, things like this have a way of clearing up on their own. In the big picture, its not the worst situation-no harm is really coming to anyone or anything.
Its really only a musical difference-and thats not really a big deal.
But praying is always wise.
Answer:
The way instruments play together most commonly, the piano is thought of as part of the "rhythm" section, and generally stays away from playing the melody, leaving that job to instruments such as the trumpet, saxophone, lead guitarist, et al.
It sounds like your leader just has a different way of understanding how instruments should play together, although (to me) certain parts of your original post were very hard to understand, so I could be wrong...

Answer:
i agree with what nate said, but
honestly how big of a deal is it?? so there is a slight role reversal, big deal. it sounds like you know how to play something that will stay out of the way of what the piano is playing and compliment it. so play that. it may not be ideal but thats not your call to make. if you can't deal with that, and i say this truly in love, find somewhere else to serve or play. its not a bad thing, you may just have a different style and this may not be were the Lord will have you serve
Answer:
"But my leader..."
There you go, you answered your own question. Follow the leader, if he wants you to stand on your head and play the spoons... Well get to work at balencing.
Answer:
I'd say just do what the man says. From what I gather, (hopefully I'm not wrong) you're a volunteer in this position and have willingly put yourself under his authority. Unless he's doing something that goes directly against what God says, then you've pretty much gotta do what he says. Just be sure that your heart is in line with what God wants you to be doing.
I was recently in a situation like this and I politely made my suggestions for what I thought should be done and just kept going with what I was told to do. It turned out alright, even though my suggestions were ignored.
Whatever you choose to do, I hope it goes well for you.
