My first time leading for a while, haven't had the opportunity while i've been away at uni
Opening set:

Hark the herald angels sing - really cool version, played in 6/8! the tune/words are the same but it makes it a bit more fun this way (and i've changed the chords a bit to make them easier to play)

Actually, that seems like it would be a pretty easy thing to imagine, Tony. Just try singing the traditional carol tune to yourself, but in 6/8 instead of 4/4. I didn't have much trouble figuring out how it would go.

Exactly. Just shortening some syllables, etc... works really well

Wait.. so you're singing each syllable to exactly three eighth notes?
What I had imagined was something similar to singing the normal 4/4 metre, but treating the half note as if it were a dotted-quarter in 6/8, and then basically just swinging the quarter notes throughout.

Actually, in a weird twist, because we are going through the Bible in an entire year, we are talking about four views of revelation. That's a fun message during Christmas time.

I thank God that it is a split track off of a CD and not something the worship band had to play, because it's in a country style, and all of the kids are wearing cowboy hats and yee-hah-ing at the end. Gag.
