I just listened to that song. Except mine was for some reason by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We are planning on using that for our prelude on the 12th as well. All Who Are Thirsty - F Angels We Have Heard On High/Nothing But The Blood - E - (medley done using a Dave Matthews Band "Crash" feel.) Your Love Oh Lord - G Message Take My Life (Holiness) - G - (Scott Underwood song) Answer: Originally Posted by Jubal Angels We Have Heard On High/Nothing But The Blood - E - (medley done using a Dave Matthews Band "Crash" feel.) This sounds really interesting. Care to explain with a little more detail? Answer: Originally Posted by agrimes87 This sounds really interesting. Care to explain with a little more detail? Sure. I start off with the chord progression as follows: C#m A B E E/G# A B E If you know the Crash song, you will get the timing. C#m A B E Angels we have heard on high E/G# A B E Sweetly singing o're the plains... Not sure how to get the chords in the right place here...sorry. EDIT: I think I have them now. That is the common thread for the songs. The only part that it doesn't work for is the "Gloria" part. I do that more traditionally. So the songs go together like this: Angels We have heard... *the chord progression in between* Come to Bethlehem and see... Chorus: Gloria.... *chord progression again* What can wash away my sin... Chorus: O! Precious is the flow... *chord progression* This is all my hope and peace... Chorus: O! Precious is the flow... (2x) then go back and do the Angels chorus quite a bit slower to the end. EDIT: no such luck this weekend. Sorry. Answer: I'm not sure if the themes flow together (opposite ends of the life of Christ), but musically it does sound interesting... I think that is one of the reasons I like it. It ties Christmas to Easter. The full lyrics (they are all public domain anyway): Angels we have heard on high Sweetly singing o'er the plain And the mountains in reply Echoing their joyous strains Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing, oh Come on adore on bended knee Christ, the Lord, our new-born King Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo.
