Path of the Wind (RC)
Question: Taken from Ecclesiastes 5, 11 Verse 1 What man can say he knows the future? Who can say what'll happen in days to come? No man has power over tomorrow Or the rising and the setting of the sun Verse 2 All these years, all this knowledge adds up to nothing Even at this age I am no less clueless than the day I was born I read my books, I studied my facts, I tried to know everything I could But I'm no better than if those books were left unworn Chorus: I don't know the path of the wind I don't know what may happen to this land I don't understand how you work But you're in heaven and I'm here on earth Verse 3 It is you that commands the wind to blow You control the tide with a word from your mouth You hold eternity in the palm of your hand In your grasp is the north and the south Bridge: To call it awe would be putting it lightly Just to listen is all that I can do There are no words that could do justice So I stand speechless as I face you The size of the lines in the second verse is intentional and fits well (I think) with the rest of the song. Any other critiquing would be much appreciated. Answer: I very much like what you've done with this song. The rhymes are natural and don't sound forced. The lines are interesting to read and stray enough from the cliché to keep me reading. This sounds like it would be an awesome worship song. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
