untitled hymn (RC)
Question: Oh grace of Christ, how rich and full That makes the depths of sorrow null-- You cover us with crimson stain That we, the sinful, might remain Within the Lord's great hallowed hall! Oh love of Christ, how deep and wide That You would leave the Father's side To make of sin a wounded force; Now from us You will not divorce But make of us a lovely bride! Oh peace of Christ that reaches down To reconcile this unclean town To God's bright city, pure and fair, That we, the rebels, might dwell there And wear the righteous robe and crown! Oh joy of Christ, the oil that pours Down from the bright celestial shores To set apart the King and Priest, That pours down on the great and least Of those that enter heaven's doors! Answer: I like it, I think it's very pretty. I love hymns, and this is a very good one, I think. Answer: Absolutely awesome. The 5 line verses give it an interesting rhythm that really brings the words to life. Can't wait to hear it. You do a great job of picking topics and sticking to them. That really solidifies the meaning of the song and makes lines that might not be immediately clear ("To reconcile this unclean town") become clear. Absolutely awesome. Answer: Wow. That is truly fantastic. I like the five line verses that give it a nice rhythm. The rhyme scheme is impeccable, the theme is great...I just really like it. Any music for it? Answer: 1. Thanks, everyone. 2. I've got music for it, but unfortunately no microphone, so...
